Cal Poly Symphony Fall Concert: Gabrielian Plays Shostakovich
Guest soloist Tanya Gabrielian — hailed by the London Times as "a pianist of powerful physical and imaginative muscle," — will perform Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the symphony, which will perform works by other composers with mental illness: Rachmaninoff, Tchaikovsky, and Schumann.
